Application Specialist

Your new role

We are now looking to grow our applications team with an Application Specialist who will work as an expert in applications for analytical equipment used for the food industry. This means you will work with validation, modification and development of multivariate models for the applications. You will learn about the instruments and build relations internally and outside the organization by acting technical support for incoming problems from customers, distributors and colleagues. Furthermore, you will visit clients and educate employees in the using of Perten’s instruments and calibrations. Your role in the team can vary and be customized depending on your previous experience, knowledge and interests. 

The role is located in Hägersten, Stockholm with limited number of travel days. 

What you'll need to succeed 

  • B.Sc. or higher in relevant field (e.g. chemical engineering, biotechnology, food technology, computer science or similar)
  • At least five years’ work experience in a customer oriented technical role
  • Good knowledge within chemometrics
  • Computer skills in Unscrambler, MATLAB, Python or other software relevant for chemometrical calculations.
  • Full professional proficiency in English

 It is a benefit if you have:

  • Experience of working internationally
  • Experience in advanced analytical equipment: NIR, IR, Rheology
  • Good knowledge in Swedish and/or a third language

We also think you are a problem solver with a positive mindset who can put your mind into your clients problems and find the right solution. Furthermore, you need to be flexible with a good ability to prioritise as you will work in a fast-changing environment where new work tasks can emerge quickly.
